The definition of self-care according to the dictionary is this;

the practice of taking action to preserve or improve ones health

or

the practice of taking an active role in protecting ones own well being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.

Starting tomorrow, I am going to be posting my favourite ways to practice self-care. There will be a new post everyday for 10 days! It is important to remember that these practices work for me and they are suggestions for you to try. They won’t necessarily be things that you would want to try, but if one of my ideas works for you, or prompts an idea for you to try, then that’s a positive. Everyone is different  (thank goodness) so it’s important to discover what works for you.

I’ve chosen to start my 10 days of self-care on Sunday 28th October because here, in the UK, the clocks go back and so the days seem shorter, there is less sunlight, and for many this can be a harder time to feel happy! Maybe now, self-care becomes even more essential.
